WCU Libraries does not have a copyright expert on staff at this time. The following guides can be consulted for advice related to various copyright issues.
- Copyright Crash CourseThis guide from the University of Texas Libraries covers many issues related to copyright, including an overview of both Fair Use and the TEACH Act, as well as tips for getting permission to use copyrighted materials.
If in doubt about whether it is okay to use a specific resource for a class, submit it through the Libraries’ Course Reserve system. Our Course Reserves Technician will check to make sure it is something that could be placed either on electronic or print reserves.
