ARCHIVAL COLLECTIONS
Dozens of archival collections document the lives of historical figures, the work of faculty members, and the operations of various institutions. Items range from correspondence and business documents to personal papers and advertisements.
The Darlington Herbarium (DWC) dates to the 1820s and contains nearly 20,000 plant specimens. William Darlington and David Townsend acquired specimens from such figures as William Jackson Hooker, C. S. Rafinesque, and John Torrey. The DWC is being digitized as part of the Mid-Atlantic Megalopolis Project (MAM).
