Finding Books

Start in the WCU Library Catalog

Remember that the official catalog subject heading for World War II is World War, 1939-1945.  Using that can may expand your results.

If you need help, you can find videos here on using the catalog, requesting print books, and using EZ-Borrow to request a book we don't own.

Go outside the library

Someone working on history research should never limit themselves to just what WCU Libraries have for books.  Try one of the following to locate other titles, then use EZBorrow to request any title we don't have.  If a title isn't in EZBorrow, try ILLiad instead.  It is a larger system, but delivery can take longer.

Finding Articles

Use these online databases to search for articles pertaining to your topic.  If you need some help, there are some introductory videos in the column to the left.

If you have exhausted what can be found in the core history databases, try our Library Search tool.  It will automatically expand your search to cover scholarship from disciplines other than history that may also be useful.
