Interlibrary loan introduction

Interlibrary loan is a service where the library will get you a copy of a book, chapter, or article that we don't own.  It is a free service.

Getting an item you found in a database

Many of our databases include links to the ILLiad system for any source (books, chapters, or articles) that we don't own.  The system is very easy to use, as shown in the video below.

Getting an item you found somewhere else

If you can't find a source at all in our library systems, you can still request it using one of our two interlibrary loan systems.

1) Books--EZ-Borrow

For whole books, our EZ-Borrow system is usually the fastest as it taps regional libraries.  See the video below for a quick introduction to using it.

2) Articles, book chapters, multimedia, etc.--ILLiad

Use ILLiad to request anything else.  It can also be used for books-- it just may be slower than EZ-Borrow.  The video below will give you a brief introduction to using it.
