Interlibrary loan overview

Interlibrary loan is a service where the WCU can borrow sources that we don't own from other libraries.  It is a free service for anyone affiliated with WCU.

  • Full books come physically and take 2-3 business days.  System used is EZ-Borrow.
  • Articles and individual book chapters come as PDFs and take 1-2 business days. System used is ILLiad.

Getting articles via interlibrary loan

This video shows what the process looks like in our Library Search tool, but the process is basically identical in databases like Historical Abstracts and America: History and Life.  If you need an article that you didn't find through a database, you can request it directly from the ILLiad main page.
