WCU Universities Libraries x PAR Recycling Works

BIG NEWS, WCU COMMUNITY!

WCU University Libraries is participating in PAR Recycling Work's Electronic Recycling Project.

This new opportunity for the WCU Community will align with our sustainable strategic plan. Students, faculty, staff, and alums are encouraged to drop off your unused or broken electronic(s) (not university owned) at Francis Harvey Green (FHG) Library's Library Help Desk. The Library Help Desk is located on the 2nd floor at the main entrance. Please let our staff members at the desk know that you would like to recycle your old electronics, and we will place them in the bin for you. Bins are also located in the Sykes Student Union. We thank all of those who recycle responsibly!

The Following Electronics are Accepted:

*Please note that all hard drives will be destroyed. We encourage you to return your electronics to their factory settings and wipe all your data.

• Laptops
• Phones
• Wires/Cables
• Routers
• Cable Boxes
• DVD/CD Players,
• IPads/Tablets
• Remote Controls
• Video Game Consoles

PAR-Recycle Works, who will be collecting our electronics, is a nonprofit electronics recycler that provides transitional employment to people returning from prison. By providing our employees with skills and opportunities, we help build safer communities and to contribute to stronger families.
