New Resource - GrantForward Funding Search and Grant Recommendation Service

written by Gary Childs

The Office of Research and Sponsored Programs has subscribed to GrantForward Funding Search and Grant Recommendation Service, which is open to all members of our institution. This platform will replace PIVOT. We invite you to sign up to use the service to keep you aware of funding opportunities.

GrantForward helps you find grant opportunities that suit your research needs with a database of grants from over 20,000 sponsors which is updated daily. You can search for grants by keywords and advanced filters, save your favorite searches for new grant alerts, and save your favorite grants to keep track of them. GrantForward also recommends grants based on your CV, past publications, and research interests if you decide to create a profile in GrantFoward.

You can access GrantForward through Single Sign-On (SSO) and enter your WCU ID. After being authenticated, your account on GrantForward will be automatically created and you will be redirected to the GrantForward website. We also encourage you to take a few minutes to create your “Researcher Profile” to start receiving grant recommendations! There is also an option for GrantForward to create your profile for you. Once you log in and have your account, you will receive an email from GrantForward asking if you would like them to create your initial profile (they will pull publicly available information from the WCU website). You have the option to opt-in or opt-out. As a reminder, please continue to reach out to your grant development specialist (Catherine Spaur or Cara Williams) in the Office of Research and Sponsored Programs once you find a funding opportunity of interest.

Please check out our website at ORSP for further information. The University Libraries are in the process of developing a Grant Forward guide for researchers and students. If you have questions about the service, please contact Engineering (STEM-H) Librarian Gary Childs (GChilds@wcupa.edu) with use-related questions or support@grantfoward.com for account-related assistance.
