EZBorrow Update

We’re excited to let you know EZBorrow, the Interlibrary Loan service University Libraries uses to facilitate borrowing books and other physical items from libraries around our region, is transitioning to a new digital platform in mid-August. 

Why the change?

Using this new platform allows University Libraries to improve services for all our patrons. Above all, it gives us the flexibility to easily and quickly adapt to new technologies to meet your evolving needs. The new platform also allows us to collaborate with libraries around the country, creating more opportunities for innovations that will make it even easier for us to fulfill your research requests.

All of this gives you world-class access to library collections!

What will be different?

• A new and improved search interface, allowing you to easily find and request the materials you need most.
• A new log in page will allow you to use your WCU username and password to log in instead of the number on the back of your RamCard (coming soon).
• More tools to help library staff fill your requests faster and more accurately.
• A new EZBorrow logo.

What will be the same?

• You can still check out books from any of the 60+ university and research libraries we partner with around our region.
• You will receive materials with the same speed, efficiency, and convenience as before.  

Planned Future Enhancements

Today, this new platform supports the borrowing of books and other physical items. In the future, this platform will also allow you to borrow electronic materials.

What do you need to do?

• Keep requesting materials as usual! Although the platform is changing, the service is the same. This includes signing in to EZBorrow using the 16-digit number on the back of your RamCard.
• If you wish to keep your request history, please talk with library staff before August 31 for help downloading this information. This information cannot be moved into the new system, and after August 31st, it will no longer be available.
