This semester's tip: The Libraries all-in-one search system
You might have noticed that the library website has changed. Don't worry, most of what you were used to is still there. One major change is the introduction of a discovery tool. It is the main search box on the library homepage. This means it searches almost all of our databases and books at once! It is a great place to begin your research. Sometimes it will seem to bring back too many items and your head will spin! Don't worry- LIMIT. Look on the left of the results screen for limiters and narrow results to things that suit your research needs like: full text, scholarly/peer-reviewed and date range. You can also limit by item types such as: article, book and newspaper. If you have any questions, please just ask your friendly research librarian. We are here for you! https://library.wcupa.edu/ask
Do you need that important article and the library does not own it? Is that book you want already checked out? Don't worry. We will get it for you! Try the Interlibrary Loan service. Look for the link in the lower right hand side of the library homepage. If the library doesn't own it, this service will get it for you from another library. In most cases we can get you that article in less than 24 hours! We send it right to your email account. Books take only 2-3 days. All you need to do is set up an account in a few simple steps. Take advantage of this very helpful service. Its easy and free!
Citing your sources is vital. Attribution of others work is required. Believe it or not, professors have many ways of verifying your work. Citation is easy with a little help and we have it at the library.
