Find books

Books about the Holocaust and genocide can be found in the Main Collection and/or in the Holocaust Collection (HC) . HC books are shelved  to the right of the elevators on the 3rd floor. Recent acquisitions are displayed near the Holocaust Education Center.

To search for books, use the library catalog, which is part of the Library Search tool.  Use the pull down menu on the right of the search box to limit to catalog.  In addition to print books, you will also find a wide selection of ebooks that you can access from off-campus.

Search box below has already been limited to the catalog:

Since Holocaust and Genocide Studies is an interdisciplinary field, the resources you need for research may appear in wide array of library databases.  Therefore, our Library Search tool may be a good starting point.  It cross searches a high percentage of our resources and will automatically pull from multiple subject areas, like history, sociology, art history, and film studies.  It also searches our catalog for books as well as our streaming video databases.

You can also go directly to specialized databases for your research.  Here are is a selection of ones that may apply, but check out West Chester Library's database page for a full list of available databases in all subject categories.
