Reference sources such as encyclopedias and dictionaries (often similar to Wikipedia) that you can cite for background information on your topic.

Search for Peer-Reviewed Articles

Search Tips:

  • Put phrases into quotation marks, like "attention deficit hyperactivity disorder" or "learning disability"
  • Try synonyms to bring back different results.  "learning disability" treatment will bring back different sources than "learning disability" intervention.
  • Use "Source Type" in the middle of the left-hand column to limit your results to books, newspaper articles, etc.
  • Use "Scholarly/Peer-reviewed Journals" at the top of the left-hand column if you want only scholarly journal articles.
