WCU University Libraries Continuity Plan

Library Instruction

How do I get librarian support for my online classes?

Reach out to your librarian to discuss the various options we can provide for online research support for your classes.

Do you have library tutorial videos I could share with my students?

The Libraries have created a variety of  tutorials that can be embedded into your D2L courses. Such topics include:

  • Basic Searching
  • Requesting books and articles via interlibrary loan.
  • Enhancing Google Scholar

More tutorials are being created as rapidly as possible. Please check back for updates.

Course Reserves and other resources

I put materials on reserve for my classes. Are those still available?

If you placed anything on e-reserves, they will still be available to your students through D2L. If you had materials on physical reserves and would like to make some of that material available, we will scan some chapters for students within copyright laws. To request scanning of current physical reserves or place new items on e-reserves, please submit the request through our Interlibrary Loan page with "ereserves request" in the "additional information" section of the form.

What resources are available to use for my classes?

  • University Libraries has many resources including ebooks, streaming materials, articles, and more. Browse our available resources or reach out to your librarian for help in identifying available subscribed library resources.
  • Faculty Select - OER and DRM Free eBooks by request. The use of OER is strongly encouraged and supported by the University Libraries.
