Getting Started

Welcome to WCU Library's Diversity Research Guide. This page will direct you to resources that will help you get started in your research and to general resources for diversity.

Each page focusing on a diverse community includes relevant websites, databases, noteworthy resources, and more. Please don't hesitate to contact me using the Subject Specialist box on this page with any research questions.

Finding Research on Diversity Topics

Our Library Search tool can be an excellent starting point for research on diversity topics, because it cross searches many different databases from many different disciplines, plus will also bring back results for books and streaming documentary videos.

Beyond using the Library Search tool, almost any database we have could be appropriate-- it just depends on your topic.  If you are looking for articles about diversity specific to an academic discipline, you may want to look at the subject guide for that discipline to find the core databases.  You can find our full list of subject guides here
